Reformation Rising

2009 UMA Spring Conference

April 23-25, 2009  /  Zion Park Inn  /  Springdale UT

REGISTRATION INFORMATION

In the year 2009, physicians are nearly inundated with the pace of change. The Utah Medical Association is perfectly positioned to assist doctors to not only keep their heads above water, but board the vessels that will bring them safely to shore. To succeed, physicians need information, organization, and opportunities to network with peers.

The purpose of the UMA Spring Conference is to update UMA members on current activities of UMA/AMA and describe methods/processes for effective state political action, explain current health system reform proposals and arm you with the tools to evolve and prosper in the changing healthcare landscape. Other sessions will address charity care, Utah's clinical health information exchange and proposals to reinvent physician reimbursement.

Feature Presentation

Highlights of the conference will include a special leadership training seminar by Bob Vossburg, former top gun fighter pilot and author of LIFT: Leadership That Soars Above and Beyond.

Registration & Pre-Conference Survey Information (Important: Please Read)

At this year’s conference, we are going to try something a bit different that promises to be very valuable for your medical practice, if you are willing to make a very small investment of time beforehand. Our program director and UMA President-elect, Dr. Glen Morrell, has invited Bob Vosburgh, founder of a company called “9g Enterprises, Inc.” to present a program on Organizational Evolution which will include an evaluation of data collected from your own practice environment. Additional information on this process is available at http://www.orgevolution.com/video/

These staff and patient surveys and evaluations would cost you thousands to do individually, but UMA has arranged for these evaluations to be done as part of the Spring Conference program.  All you need to do is assign one of your staff people as the survey contact and encourage them to make sure the surveys are administered by the deadline date, then show up at the conference to get the personalized results and analysis. Make sure to indicate who your survey contact will be on the registration form. The sooner you register, the more time there will be to collect this valuable data.
